Interlaken Ost railway station is the departure point for a train ride of epic scope on the Interlaken Line, more than 100 years old, lifting you through landscapes up to the Jungfraujoch saddle at 3,466 metres. The final station is the highest in Europe, at the culmination of a seven-kilometre tunnel through the mountain. You can enter the Top of Europe Building, which overlooks the Aletsch Glacier in the Jungfrau – Aletsch – Bietschhorn UNESCO Natural World Heritage property, with restaurants and attractions inside, and ride the elevator to the Sphinx Observatory for 360° indoor and outdoor views.
